Eneco lowers energy bills

Rotterdam, 17 October 2012 - As of 1 January 2013, energy company Eneco will charge its variable rate customers substantially less. The price for electricity remains virtually the same, but the annual cost for gas for an average household will be around 80 euro lower. This is an indication.

Tax increase

All energy consumers will also be faced with higher (government) taxes that will be invoiced by Eneco. Although the total impact is not yet clear, it is understood that, for consumers, energy tax on gas will increase by 11%. The tax increase for electricity is not yet known. It is expected that a household with an average annual consumption (3,350 kWh of electricity and 1600 m3 of gas) will pay approximately € 47 more energy tax in 2013.
