Your energy partner

Together, we will realise sustainable energy

Are you interested in saving money and in generating your own energy? Together, we examine your goals. Our relationship with our customers is becoming more and more personal. For example, we can fulfil the role of advisor, installer or redistributor of energy. We also support innovations and new developments. There are many different ways in which you can get involved, and we welcome individual initiatives.

LochemEnergie cooperative chooses Solar

We felt there was a lot of talk about sustainability and generating energy yourself. But what would happen if we, together with the residents of Lochem, were to take the plunge and actually do this? We are not a glorified purchasing organisation; we want to be involved. Members can generate energy themselves using solar panels, or opt for a subscription enabling them to make use of energy generated by others.

Waterweg Wonen is leasing sustainably

Today's tenants want comfort and affordability. Housing corporations increasingly find themselves having to juggle tighter budgets with an obligation to improve sustainability. Saving and generating energy yourself are excellent ways to achieve these goals.

The "postcoderoos"

Local residents generate together

The "postcoderoos"

Solar GreenPoint and Eneco have installed 200 solar panels on the roof of the municipal swimming pool in Woerden. This solar farm is the first example of local energy production via what is called the “postcoderoos” (postcode area). The panels are owned by the residents from the same postcode as the swimming pool. Eneco calculates the annual offset of the power generated and the discount on Energy Tax.

The Solar GreenPoint Batensteinbad solar farm has been the first groundbreaking initiative in which the local council has opened up the field to a residents' collective. We have many roofs which are suitable for solar panels, and we are hoping others will follow this example.

Bob Duindam, Alderman for Environment and Sustainability, from Woerden

Investing in this solar farm is fiscally attractive. In addition, it means making a contribution to a sustainable future.

NS halves per-kilometre power consumption

In the next few years, all electric trains will be powered by wind energy. From 2018, it will be 100%. With this, Dutch railway operator NS wants to make a positive contribution to the world by being the leader in providing sustainable mobility,’ says Ralph Luijt, Manager Energy & Environment at NS Reizigers. Saving energy is key in the partnership between NS and Eneco. ‘By 2020, NS wants to halve its power consumption per passenger-kilometre compared to 2005. This tender will in no way result in more expensive train tickets. By being more energy-efficient, and using increasingly energy-efficient trains, railway operators are saving energy every year. Since 2005, power consumption per passenger-kilometre at NS has already been reduced by 30%.

This energy saving creates space for us to invest in green power. Half of this is Eneco HollandseWind®, green power from Dutch wind farms.

A share of wind turbine for everyone

We want to enter into a different relationship with our customers. We want to move away from simply selling a product like energy. Energy becomes something special if people have a relationship with it in some way,’ Linda Boode, Senior Business Project Manager at Eneco, explains. For quite some time already, shares have enabled people living near wind farms to benefit from the energy generated. Now, with HollandseWind Certificates®, everyone can buy their own share in wind turbines in the Hoevense Beemden. Whether you live near the wind farm or not – and even if you are not a customer. ‘Allowing people to participate is the ultimate example of this. For €25, you can invest in the wind farm. You will then receive a wind return of at least 2.5% on this – even more if the wind blows harder. This way, participation becomes a lot of fun.
