One Planet
In One Planet, we challenge ourselves, our suppliers and our clients and customers to operate within the planet’s limits. This is not only necessary to preserve the environment, but also to guarantee our own wellbeing and that of future generations. And we hope to set a strong example with our mission: Everyone’s sustainable energy.

Respecting the boundaries of our one planet
In addition to generating a healthy financial return, our activities are also aimed at limiting our impact on the climate and biodiversity and stimulating clean air and circularity. This includes:
- Helping our customers to make the transition to sustainable energy
- Our commitment to the Paris Climate Agreement
- Investing in sustainable energy sources such and wind farms and solar parks
- Ensuring that these investments take local nature development into account
- Socially responsible purchasing
- Increasing the sustainability of our own business operations

Promoting green production
We have teamed up with various parties that have also made a conscious decision to promote sustainability. This allows us to increase the supply of green energy and contribute to its local embedding and acceptance. We work closely together with partners such as:
Together with our customers
We take our biggest steps forward together with our customers. Fortunately, more and more sustainable solutions are presently within the reach of consumers and businesses.
- We supply 100% green electricity to all our private customers and SME clients.
- Our business customers are increasingly opting for green energy. Of all the electricity for the business target group, 62% is green.
- People are gaining more control over their gas consumption levels with Eneco HeatWinner®. This hybrid heat pump can save up on gas by recycling residual heat – without compromising on comfort.

Using wind power to get to work
With One Planet we also make an active contribution to cleaner air through our mobility activities. On the one hand, we make it easy for our customers with charging services for electric transport. But we also look critically at our own organisation.
In 2015 we took the decision to make our mobility fully sustainable. In 2020 we are fully focused on:
- sustainable sharing with public transport,
- electric car sharing,
- bike
- or a combination.
- And if it is not really necessary to travel, we work at home or elsewhere and we use smart means of communication.
