Our corporate social responsibility
Our mission statement is 'Everyone’s sustainable energy'. In a sustainable world, everyone is a participant. As part of our social engagement, we support vulnerable groups in society. Which is why Eneco also helps in other ways. Particularly now. Read here what we do.

Eneco supports research into the influence of the coronavirus on children
The aim of the research is to gain more knowledge about how often the coronavirus occurs among children, how it spreads within the family and what possible risks there are, such as overweight and asthma. This will enable the researchers to find ways to improve protection of vulnerable children and their families against the virus.

Meals for Rotterdam residents
The chefs of Eurest prepared 200 meals a day. These were donated to the food centre Isaak & De Schittering, which offered them to Rotterdammers with a small wallet. In this way we helped the growing number of people for whom it was even more difficult during the corona crisis to provide for their own basic needs.

Eneco Clean Beach Cup
Plastic mass production continues to increase and as much as 5 to 14 million tonnes of plastic waste ends up in the sea every year.
We don't have to tell you that this is bad for people and the environment. That's why Eneco pleas for less plastic and other rubbish and organizes in collaboration with all the Belgian surf clubs and a few in the Netherlands, a major beach cleaning event: the Eneco Clean Beach Cup. Because of the COVID-19 virus, the date has been postponed. The new date is 19 September 2020. This makes us part of this year's World Clean Up Day.
