Hollandse Kust (noord) Wind Farm
Hollandse Kust Noord is one of the three areas allocated by the Dutch government for the development of wind at sea. The Consortium CrossWind, a joint venture between Shell in the Netherlands and Eneco, have been awarded the tender to build the wind farm subsidy-free.
One million householdes
The consortium plans to have Hollandse Kust (noord) operational in 2023 with an installed capacity of 759 MW, generating at least 3.3 TWh per year. This is enough renewable power to supply more than one million Dutch households with green electricity. The wind farm will be located 18.5 kilometres off the Dutch coast near the town of Egmond aan Zee.
