Ashley Klapwijk

Ashley started her career as an Asset Management Trainee at APG, one of the world's largest pension investors. She held various positions – from risk to innovation – and started as Portfolio Manager within the Infrastructure Europe team after her traineeship. She was responsible for deal execution and asset management for Infrastructure investments with a ticket size between €250m - €1bn. As a portfolio manager, she gained hands-on deal experience and broad sector knowledge. She held various asset management positions in the airport, toll road, PPP, fiber and Smart Cities sector.

Ashley transitioned from Private Equity to Venture Capital when she joined Eneco Ventures in 2022, as she is passionated about innovation and investing in disruptive start-ups that speed-up the energy transition. She enjoys working with founders and shareholders to help start-ups realize their ambitions.

Ashley holds a BSc in International Business & Management, a MSc in International Economics & Business and a MSc in Real Estate from the University of Groningen. She lives in Rotterdam, enjoys cycling, outdoor activities and you can ask her anything about coffee!
