Hans Cool

Hans is a seasoned professional with a diverse array of experiences prior to joining Eneco Ventures. Upon graduating in Applied Physics at Delft University, majoring in Quantum Mechanics, he worked several years at a leading strategy consulting firm. He then honed his business knowledge by completing an MBA at IESE Business School.

Driven by a strong desire to make this world a better place, Hans was a pioneer in 2004 when he co-founded Alucha, a company focused on advanced recycling technology and circular solutions. As CFO, he built this company from scratch that now has some of the major global waste and paper industry players as its clients.

Leveraging his entrepreneurial experience in setting up and managing complex technological projects & companies, with a focus on strategy and finance, Hans is also a regular mentor at YES! Delft.

Hans thrives in ambitious start-up/scale-up environments where he can use his experiences and skills to propel them to a leading position.

Hans really enjoys being in nature with friends and family. Hiking and camping, preferably in the mountains, are among his favourite activities. Spain is a preferred destination, the country that he lived in for almost 10 years.
