H. (Hiroshi) Sakuma, BS in Mechanical Engineering

Hiroshi Sakuma (1956) was appointed to the management board of Eneco as Chief Cooperation & International Officer (CCIO) on 24 March 2020.

Hiroshi Sakuma began his career at Mitsubishi Corporation in 1980, having obtained a degree in Engineering from Tokyo University. He held many different executive positions within the company in a number of different countries: Japan, Saudi Arabia and the United States.

In his capacity as Senior Vice President Division COO, in the New Energy & Power Generation Division of Mitsubishi Corporation, he already had contacts with Eneco as a result of the collaboration between the two companies in the field of offshore wind. In 2014, he held the role of Executive Vice President, Group CEO, in the Global Environmental & Infrastructure Business Group of Mitsubishi Corporation. In 2019, as corporate advisor at Mitsubishi Corporation, Sakuma was responsible for the acquisition of Eneco Groep N.V.
